Foke: Design Studio

I really love Folk, their website is so beautifully laid out. The photographs of their work are equally beautiful and all of their stuff has that one quality that's so hard to find in work- personality. Everything is unique and thoroughly considered, their open collaborative philosophy is something that really gives them the edge, this is what brings life to their work.

Here are some of my favourite pieces.

Some branding and packaging design for hophurst brewery. I love the branding as a whole, it's very simple, bold, fun and friendly and the individual flavours and bottles are all umbrellared (it's a word now) under the same brand but each is unique and individual.  I love the addition of adding strong to the bottle neck, it make each bottle feel so much more handmade and personalised as opposed to mass produced.

I really love this comic style print, looks very sin city like. It's adorable and artistic and quite frankly I want one on my wall. The whole approach to this invites pack fills the user with wonder, the gold type makes it feel special and unique, upmarket and fancy yet the casual look of the poster design makes it friendly. I do think there could have been a better harmony struck between these two styles but I still love it, especially the little finger puppet, I seriously want a little finger puppet.

Browsing through the misc posters I just saw lots of designs I want on my wall, an owl in sunglasses? I never knew I needed an owl with sunglasses until now.

The clean and simple look of this promotional material is lovely. Everything feels framed and secure, it's a strong callback to early modernist design and I like it. The pops of colour and pattern keep it from becoming boring but the structure and the repetitive layout keeps it simple and functional, very lovely.
