Studio Belly Timber: Design Studio

Studio Belly Timber is a Leeds based studio I stumbled across early this year. I was struck by the subtlety of their work, very beautiful things but not done in  a shout out loud way, it made for more respectable projects and pieces. Everything was functional yet beautiful and it really made me smile.

Here are some of my favourite bits of their work.

I love this poster, I love its fun and simplicity. Muted yet full of energy.

I think I really like this cover because it looks very comic like, the bold clean lines and bright colours look like their straight from a comic book. This whole publication may not be the flashiest thing but it's functional, it does it's job clearly and cleanly, no pointless flashiness just good design.

This publication is one of my favourite things I've seen for a while. I absolutely adore hand illustrations, pen and ink, the faded cover, the textured stock, the patterned inside, the binding, oh lord the binding. It's just a beautiful thing to look at and I really want a copy myself.

I've messaged and asked for a studio visit, if not then I'm sure I can ask some questions via email, but hopefully I should get to see the work in motion.
